Jonas Bell Pasht
Jonas Bell Pasht started his career as an independent film producer. His distinctive and award-winning films have been distributed around the globe and featured in many of the world’s top film festivals, including Toronto, Berlin and SXSW.
In 2014 Bell Pasht joined his former American Film Institute classmate Jonah Bekhor to launch Citizen Jones as a full-service production company. With the aim of bringing cinematic style and storytelling to unscripted entertainment, Citizen Jones credits include series for Discovery Communications, A+E Networks, NBC Universal, Red Bull TV, Fusion, as well as projects for ESPN, the New York Times and GQ.com.
Since the inception of Citizen Jones, Jonah Bekhor has created and produced content for everything from movie theaters to mobile devices. His most recent credits include the feature film, LUNARCY! (Official Selection, Toronto International Film Festival 2012, SXSW 2013), the television series HOW I ROCK IT which he co-created and executive produced for the Esquire Television Network, and his feature directorial debut THE FINAL MEMBER, which will be released by Drafthouse Films in theaters across America in Spring 2014.
Jonah’s work across film, television, and digital platforms has earned numerous awards from festivals and organizations including the Palm Springs International Film Festival, the CINE Golden Eagle Awards, and a Mobifest Award for excellence in mobile content. Originally from Toronto, he is a graduate of the American Film Institute where he was the recipient of the Stan Margulies Award Scholarship. Jonah serves on the AFI Alumni Executive Board, and he co-runs a mentoring program to help transition current AFI fellows into the profession.
